My husband and I will be celebrating our 2nd anniversary in a few months. We were blessed with a beautiful baby girl in February. She is now nine months old. She is an absolute BLESSING! She is such a happy baby. She's always smiling and "talking." She learned how to crawl about three weeks ago, and she's been going non-stop since then! She'll pull herself up sometimes, and she's developed a great sense of curiosity! She got her first tooth about two weeks ago, and she's in the process of cutting another. She gnaws on everything. Whatever she can get in her mouth, goes there!
As for the past week, she's been sick. She started running a 103-104 fever on Thursday, and, after a few doctor's appointments, we've determined that she has pneumonia! They gave her a shot, and her fever has been down since then (Monday). As of now, she just vomits all of her bottles! She'll keep down her baby food and juice, but she does not hold down the milk. I got her to hold down ONE of her bottles today, so far. She's been a MUCH happier baby today than she has been for the past few weeks. She found the DVD collection today! Oh joy! I, of course, had to get a video of her tearing every DVD off of the shelf. She was quite proud of herself!
I've actually been sick also.... since last Thursday. I have a doctor's appointment today to finally get something to get rid of this horrible congestion! Other than that, I'm doing well! School is a blast (MOST of the time!). The students seem to love me, without walking all over me, if that makes any sense. They enjoy the class. They love the projects we do, as long as it doesn't involve writing! 8th grade is such a tough grade to teach, but they brighten my day, as do the teachers that I work with. I gotten especially close to the 7th grade ELA teacher, Kristy. They have all helped me so much during this first year! I have to admit, I AM looking forward to the group I get next year. Apparently, they're much better behaved! I've already gotten one suspended this year! What can I say? I just do NOT tolerate disrespect! :)
Joey is doing well. Working, as usual. Holidays are approaching, and Frito Lay gets busier than ever during the "Ho-Ho" season! That also means we'll be getting bigger pay checks in the weeks to come! Perfect timing for Christmas! He's really struggling with the idea of his future. Of course, he doesn't want to work for Frito Lay for the rest of his life. His dream is to be a personal trainer. Certification for that requires money that we don't have right now, and obviously it would be a pay-cut from what he's making now. That is, until he builds up clientele. He's very talented, and he really has a desire to help others lose weight and get fit. For the past few months, he's been training with a few guys at our house once a week. We have a workout building. He has them over and teaches them MMA steps. He really loves working out. I wish I had his stamina and passion for working out! I'm 30 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight, and I'm really struggling with finding the time to do any kind of workout, much less any motivation! I have no problem eating healthy, but I am just tooooo lazy! After spending time with my family, cooking dinner, cleaning house, work, etc... I just can't find enough hours in the day to do anything physically productive! I WOULD like to note that even though I have a ways to go to lose all of my weight, I HAVE lost 45 pounds since having Raegan. That encourages me!
I hope this entry updates everyone on our current status! I'll post frequently to keep friends and family informed of new things!
Hey girl!! I'm so glad you made a blog!! Now we will just have to convince Heather Preuett to make one too.....ha! And I get the backgrounds from a site called thecutestblogontheblock.com .... You pick out a background and they tell you exactly how to put it on your blogspot. I know you have to have the original, regular template for it to work. Play with it, but let me know if you can't get it. Hopefully, I will be able to help!
